Abstract

The treatment for ovarian cancer is a continuing personal challenge, from the documentation of nodal metastasis, cytoreductive surgery, MGMT and Regan isoenzyme, laparoscopic second look, and recent adoption of laparoscopic approach for early stage disease.

1. Nodal metastasis
2. Cytoreductive surgery
3. O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase & Regan isoenzyme
4. Personal experience in ovarian cancer
 LN & survival
High-grade ovarian cancers-clear cells carcinoma and mixed mullein tumor
5. Second look assessment
6. Laparoscopic surgery
7. Chemotherapy evolution for advanced disease

The future for ovarian cancer control will lie in prevention and early diagnosis focusing on BRCA1 mutation detection, CA 125, pelvic sonogram, oral contraceptive, prophylactic oophorectomy, and dietary modification.
