Abstract

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) has been undertaken to prevent pregnancies with genetic abnormalities. Currently, PCR and FISH are the most popular methods used for preimplantation genetic diagnosis. However, both have their advantages and disadvantages. We have developed methods to improve the efficiency of PGD. The principles and methods of these new techniques will be discussed in detail in this talk.
