Department of Medical Affairs and Planning

Consists of six divisions: Division of Medical Affairs and Planning, Division of Performance Management, Division of Medical Fees, Division of Medical Records, Division of Medical Affairs, International Medical Service Center

    It was originally named as “Department of Medical Affairs and Administration” and extended gradually and re-organized as “Department of Medical Affairs and Planning” due to the response to medical environment and the demand of the policy. It includes ”Division of Medical Affairs and Planning”, “Division of Performance Management”, “Division of Medical Fees”, “Division of Medical Records”, “Division of Medical Affairs”, and “International Medical Service Center” with around 240 employees.

Other than being responsible for the medical affairs and financial management for the whole hospital, the department has been entrusted to manage Taipei Municipal Guandu Hospital since 2000 as well as taken on “NHI's Kinmen Area Integrated Delivery System (IDS) program entrusted by Ministry of Health and Welfare since 2005. From 2007, the Department undertook hospital accreditation, the supervision and assessment hosted by Department of Health, the supervision and assessment hosted by Veterans Affairs Council, and “Health Promoting Hospital Certification” hosed by Health Promotion Administration The Department continued achieving good performance. In 2018, it carried out “Rong Yan Project” and established levels of care system; its performance was the first in Taipei Area. In 2018, it started to deal with the administration of influenza vaccination and HPV vaccination at the campus. In 2019, it hosted International Medical Quality Forum and activities in Taiwan for IHF and BMJ. IVGH’s innovative medical technology and excellent medical quality were highly recognized all over the world.
