The department contains 3 divisions:

Otology, Rhinology-Head and Neck Surgery, Laryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Otorhinolarynology Division was originally under Surgery Department, became independent in 1975 and was elevated as Otorhinolarynology Department in 1989.

        After reorganization in 2013, now the name was Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department with three divisions of Otology, Rhinology-Head and Neck Surgery, Laryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

        The Division of Otology consists of experts in the field of otology and neurotology, dedicated to managing hearing loss, ear infections and tumors (involving the ear, skull, and brain), and dizziness/vertigo. Together with our audiology team, you can anticipate to receive the best care for your condition. We also have multidisciplinary boards for rare congenital syndromes, head and neck malignancies, and ear conditions involving the skull base and brain. Our team utilizes the latest technology and techniques, including dual system (microscopic and endoscopic) microsurgery, intraoperative facial nerve monitoring, minimally invasive surgical techniques, genetic testing, and AI-assisted diagnosis and rehabilitation for various ear conditions.

        The Division of Rhinology- Head and Neck provides the comprehensive evaluation and management in the complex sinonasal disorders, sinonasal malignancy, skull base/orbital pathology, and olfactory disorders. The list of services include:

        The Division of Laryngology treats diseases of the head & neck region and clincial services include a variety of diseases, such as upper respiratory tract infections, tonsil/adenoid disorders, sleep disordered breathing and obstructive sleep apnea, voice disorders, and head and neck cancers. High-resolution video-endoscopic and stroboscopic systems were applied for accurate diagnosis and office-based treatment. Modern head and neck ultrasonography is also performed for high quality diagnosis and minimally invaive treatment for neck mass and thyroid nodules. Multidisciplinary head and neck cancer treatment, including combination surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, target therapy and immunotherapy, is coordinated by the division. The comprehensive head and neck cancer treatment quality has achieved the silver award of the 2018 Symbol of National Quality, and continue to give individualized state-of-the-art treatment care tailored for all types and stages of head and neck cancer patients.
