The Department of Oncology is composed of the Radiation Oncology Division, Medical Oncology Division, Center for Immuno-oncology, and the future Heavy Ion Therapy Center to promote the highest quality care for cancer patients. This commitment includes the provision of comprehensive services, interdisciplinary clinical care, research, education and community-based cancer control and rehabilitation activities. Special facilities include the most modernized linear accelerator in Taiwan, TrueBeam Radiotherapy System, Tomotherapy System, stereotactic surgery focusing Cobalt-60 irradiators (Gamma-Knife), high-and-low dose rate brachytherapy systems, a CT simulator, a 3D treatment planning computer, radiation measurement devices and patient immobilization devices, to provide delicate comformal radiotherapy and research. The Medical Oncology Division also provides convenient and cost effective daily chemotherapy on an out patient basis, as well as the unique combined chemoradiotherapy service. Additionally, this department conducts both basic and clinical cancer research, and contains the entire hospital's cancer registration data.
